I currently own over $3200 worth of books and don't want to spend that kind of money again to transfer them onto the nook. Is there somewhere I can go or someone to talk to to get them transferred to the nook with no extra charge?

A: Sorry, but no. It would have been nice to be able to do that but it can't.

Barnes & Noble's Nook App Ready For New iPad

When Apple announces a new device software manufacturers must rush to make adjustments. So, in the past few days, since the release of the "new iPad" those announcements have been predictable – and numerous.

In today's flurry of press releases, Barnes & Noble announced a newly updated version of its popular Nook software for iPads and iPhones.

Therefore, when Apple unleashed it's super, hi-definition Retina screen on their tablet (and the iPhone 4S) it meant that software titles now had to be tweaked to take full advantage of the new display.

In the case of the Nook software (version 3.1.3), the iPad's increased screen resolution forced B&N to optimize everything to take full advantage the possibility of sharper words and illustrations on each page.
